EXHIBIT: In His Own Words: The Life and Work of César Chávez

This traveling exhibition from Humanities Texas features 38 photographs paired with excerpts of Chávez's speeches, interviews, and writings. The exhibit documents the full course of Chávez's career, examining his life experiences, philosophical influences, and tactics and campaigns. The exhibit is curated by UW Communication Prof. John Hammerback.

Mark the exhibition's opening with a brief introduction to Chávez, by Erasmo Gamboa, followed by a tour of the show. Refreshments will be served.
